033 STEAM & DIESEL ON THE PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD Volume 2
52 minutes
Donald J. Krofta again provides a historic look at the Pennsy's Ohio lines from his amazing 16mm film. The featured line is the Columbus to Sandusky coal-hauling route with J1 and Santa Fe 2-10-4's. (The PRR leased a fleet of Santa Fe engines in 1956.) You'll see these giant locos on coal runs at many locations including the coal dock at Harvey, Ohio. Also included are trains on the Toledo Division and the east-west main line. You'll follow the change from steam to diesel power with J-1's, H-9's, I-1's and the Santa Fe locos plus diesels from EMD, ALCO, BALDWIN and GE as the picture takes you from 1954 to 1969 on the Pennsylvania and Penn Central. Color and B&W with PRR sound.
